I have to confess I had no idea this book was the sequel. I liked the cover and I told myself I would give it a go. I was able to fill in the blanks although it would’ve been much easier if I’d started with Six of Crows. I was drawn into the story quite quickly, it was a page turner and very suspenseful. I liked that every character had their own agendas and their story was balanced enough to make you attached but also leave their past half obscure and mysterious. I will definitely read the first book as well as the other Grisha novels by the author.
