Life with a dog comes with a lot of advantages and some drawbacks. So before you get yourself a dog let’s summarize all the pros and cons. I will leave it up to you to decide what the pros and cons are. And I would like to add that I share my personal experience.

You don’t need an alarm clock. Your little fella will wake you up every day for the rest of his life at times convenient to him. If you are lucky it’s 7 am if you’re less lucky it’s 6 am if you got yourself a dog from hell it’s 2 am.

You don’t have to be afraid you would go to bed late because the dog will loudly remind you it’s past his bedtime already and he doesn't wish to be disturbed by the computer screen and keyboard clicking. If you keep ignoring his needs he’ll start giving you death stares and looks of disdain. You are also going to regret that at 2 am.

If your dog is up early pretend to be dead and don’t dare to move a muscle. He will check you at regular intervals and if he sees a movement he’ll start teasing you. Nobody wants to see phase 4 of his teasing.

Don’t let your dog on the bed or you’ll be sleeping on the floor. Once I let my dog on the bed. We fell asleep and he mercilessly kicked me off it and continued sleeping effortlessly.

Don’t let your dog on the sofa. He has an expanding ability and no regrets. He will push his elbows into your delicate body in many vulnerable places and again with no regrets. Then he will doze off drizzle all over your leg and with his weight he will interrupt the blood flow in it and refuse to wake up.

If your dog suddenly gets up and quickly disappears, you have approximately 30 seconds to vacate the room otherwise you’ll be short of breathable air and soon dead. I strongly advise you to stay fit and to keep all your senses sharp.

It’s very nice when your dog gives you hugs and kisses but keep in mind that he likes to eat other dogs’ poo when you’re not looking. Enjoy!
